Hey Mums! I’m focusing on you today…even though everyone is also invited to share their tips for staying active.
When I had my first child, I honestly did not have to worry about staying active…she kept me active. She was one of those children who would not sleep unless you were walking around while carrying her. In retrospect, I can say, it was a little easier in that first pregnancy to shed my pregnancy weight! 😊 Not so much for the subsequent ones…but story for another day!
A little story about my steps… 😊
When I first decided to become more active, I used the step counter on my phone.
That meant I had to carry my phone everywhere so it would count my steps – every moment I didn’t have it with me, I felt I had lost the opportunity to count some steps! 😊
But unfortunately, that’s not always practical. 😄
So, I planned for and got a Fitbit. And that changed everything, because instead of holding my phone all day, I could simply wear it and forget about it and it quietly counted my steps, distance, and calories in the background. I became more intentional about the number of steps I wanted to take in a day and set clear goals to help me on that journey.
That’s exactly what a pedometer does too. A small, simple device you clip to your clothes…and it helps you know:
Am I moving enough today to protect my heart and my health?
Sometimes, small tools make a big difference.
And that’s why we’re giving one away during the 14 Days of Wellness with Dr Ketch.
You could be our next winner. 😊
