Day 7 of 14 Days of Wellness with Dr Ketch

We are halfway through this journey already… and I am so proud of everyone who has shown up, commented, shared tips, and chosen to move their bodies a little more each day.

Let me tell you why this small gift (the pedometer) truly matters.

Many of us believe we are active because we move around all day…
but in reality, most people are not moving enough to protect their heart. The first time I used one, I realized that I took only 300 plus steps! Do you know how many I should take in a day? 10,000! But I did not hit 10,000 immediately. I started small – 1000, 2000 and so on until I hit my daily target over a number of months.

A pedometer simply shows you:
• how many steps you take
• how far you walk
• how many calories you burn

It turns ordinary daily movement into a clear health goal and small daily steps like this can help prevent high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease over time.

This is why I am giving one away every single day until February 14.

To participate today and qualify to win:
1) Follow this page
2) Tell us in the comments:
– what you did yesterday to stay active, OR
– one simple thing you do to stay active

Real change begins with one step…and then another.

Let’s keep moving together
