Random Recipes…

I learnt this from the chef on Season 1 of the Dr Ketch Show.

Oats are a great source of fibre and help reduce cholesterol levels. If you’re looking for a nutritious and filling breakfast, a bowl of oats in the morning is a good way to go. However, a lot of people find the taste bland and some others just douse the oats in sugar. The latter defeats our healthy eating purpose.

So, for a jazzed-up version of oats, try the overnight oats!

Put some oats in a bowl, add some milk and unsweetened yoghurt. If you don’t have yoghurt, milk will do.

Cover with cling film and leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, add some fruit slices (I like apple and banana slices), add a sprinkle of cinnamon and if you want a little bit more ‘sugar’, add a couple of raisins/currants/dried fruit.

Mix it all up…tastes fabulous!

    • Well, if you’re going to make ot and eat immediately, then there shoukd be no problem. If you’re going to make it overnight and eat in the morning, the milk or yoghurt may go sour.
